Remembering . . . Will and Julie's 40th Anniversary!

Young Love! High School Sweethearts!

This has been an emotional year! I turned 60 . . . AND . . . Will and I are celebrating 40 years of marriage!

Engaged fall of 1971.

I remember my Momma saying, "The years fly by so fast!". You know, she was right! Time does fly! That means we need to make every moment count! Our lives need to be filled with conscious choices of making the very best of every moment. Life is so very precious! If we can learn to embrace life, all the good, bad and even ugly, because it means we are alive and can still be world changers, history makers, risk takers, impacting our loved ones and so many others in positive or negative ways.

Remembering back to that first kiss, the thrill, excitement and pure joy of finding that first real love! Oh yes, there have been many bumps along the way but a "knowing" that this love was meant to last! Our love was meant to endure through anything!

Finally, we legally belong to each other!
Will looks a little scared!
So, today we celebrate our love! We celebrate our 40 years together as husband and wife . . . remembering all the wonderful moments in time when everything was perfect, remembering when 2 became 1 and then 3 and 4 and 5! Remembering the tough times, thankful we've walked through them together, thankful for His grace to choose love, forgiveness and LIFE!

Please enjoy this love song celebrating our life together!

The generations ~ my Daddy in the background, Gram Backus, Us, Gram Siedelberg, Gram Helen, Grampa Van Andel. And the generations continue on because of love ~ the joining of 1 man with 1 woman ~ US!

We have so very much to be thankful for on this, our 40th Anniversary! Will and I wanted to share our beginnings with you through some of our photos. Hope you enjoy this little walk down Memory Lane from Over at Julie's!!!
